Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

FH Development Studio ("we," "us") built WordGuess as a word game with no accounts and no servers of our own. This policy is short because the app does very little with data.

What we collect

Nothing. WordGuess has no user accounts, includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and sends nothing to FH Development Studio. We operate no servers for this app, so there is nothing for us to receive.

What's stored on your device

Your game history and statistics (the word, your guesses, whether you won, how many tries it took, and whether Hard Mode was on) are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your preferences — Hard Mode, light/dark theme, and background style — are stored on your device only and are not synced by the app.

iCloud sync

If you're signed in to iCloud, your game history and statistics also sync through your own private iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. That means they reach your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account, and they come back if you reinstall the app. This data:

• Lives in your private iCloud database, under your own Apple Account
• Is not visible or accessible to FH Development Studio, and we have no way to read it
• Is never sent to any server run by us or by any third party
• Is handled by Apple under Apple's own iCloud privacy practices, not ours

If you're not signed in to iCloud, or iCloud is unavailable for the app, everything stays on the device and the game works exactly the same — sync is the only thing you lose.

Deleting the app removes the copy on that device. Removing the data held in your iCloud account is done through Apple's own iCloud settings, since it's your account, not ours.

Third parties

WordGuess uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, or advertising networks of any kind. The only outside service involved is Apple's iCloud, acting on your account.

Children's privacy

WordGuess does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, for the same reason stated above: it collects no data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly. The October 15, 2026 update describes the iCloud sync added to the app; nothing else changed.
